Nothing says love quite like a schnitzel, chips, and chicken parma on Mother's Day, according to new research.

The Aussie favourites were the most ordered foods in NSW, Queensland, and Victoria on Mother's Day 20221, hospitality tech innovator me&u revealed.

Queenslanders felt extra indulgent on Mother's Day 2021, with a 96 per cent increase in oyster sales compared with the week before.

South Australians spent the most on dining out with their mums on Mother's Day last year.

They averaged a total spend of $80.99. Queenslanders spent $68.79 on average, followed by Victorians at $66.79, NSW residents at $66.42 and Western Australians at $66.01.

Australians last year spent 27 per cent more taking their mum out to eat and drink on Mother's Day than the average Sunday.
