Independently owned by Gareth Bale, Elevens Bar & Grill is a trendy, premium sports bar in the heart of Cardiff city centre. No matter what your sport of choice is, Elevens Bar & Grill is the place to watch it. With TVs all around the venue and surround sound to match, Elevens offers the best sports viewing experience in Cardiff with mouth-watering food and drinks to enjoy it with. Since opening, the team have been a runner up as ‘Best for Sport’ in the Great British Pub Awards for three years
The challenge
Coming out of lockdowns Elevens, like many other hospitality venues around the world, faced restrictions on density limits meaning increased pressure to drive up the average transaction value and make up for reduced customer volume. They went from a 350 capacity to a 160 capacity venue, and were on the hunt for a system that would help them maintain the same amount of revenue as they were doing previously.

Visual menus supercharged with data
Knowing that guests love to research on social media and check out what meals look like before they order, the visual menu that we created with Elevens has enabled the team to get customers to consider dishes they might not have before. me&u looked after the photography for Elevens whilst also working with the team to optimise their digital menu set up using features like Quicksells at checkout. Already the team has seen over £5,000 in extra revenue driven each month through addons like shrimp crackers.
Never miss a moment
Being a venue that people come to watch their favourite sporting events at, Elevens were invested in how they could improve the guest experience. Customers can tap, order, and pay from their phones which means they’ll never miss a moment of any game and won’t get stuck in queues or waiting in long lines just to grab another drink. Unlike other ordering platforms, using me&u also doesn’t require guests to download another app. “Super quick, super easy.”
Manage large crowds without the large queues
Managing large groups, bookings & events was made a whole lot easier for Elevens with me&u’s Group Tabs feature. Guests are able to rock up, start a tab, and enjoy the whole experience that Elevens has to offer. me&u made it easier for guests to top up their bar tab by prompting them with a text when their balance reaches 20%, meaning guests were able to continue ordering without leaving their table.
