Sydney, 14 June 2022

Following the announcement of Katrina Barry as CEO, leading hospitality technology scale-up, me&u, has today furthered their global expansion with three key hires.

The first appointment is seasoned Tech CFO, Natalie Housson, who joins as the new me&u Global Chief Financial Officer. Also joining the team is experienced business development and sales leader Brian Duncan as VP of Sales in the US, and the highly accomplished and success-driven Eric Seymour as the Head of Business Development in the US.

This enviable new trio at me&u will be critical to facilitating me&u’s global expansion, using their financial acumen, business development and channel experience, and understanding of overseas markets to plan and implement the global growth of me&u.

me&u CEO Katrina Barry said of these talented new appointees, “They all bring a depth of experience and knowledge in the key areas needed to continue me&u’s expansion around the world. We've expanded over 200 per cent since the start of 2021 and bolstering out the team with their leadership abilities will help us take me&u global. With Natalie, Brian, and Eric onboard, me&u will be able to continue creating better experiences for customers and venues across the global hospitality sector.”

Housson joins me&u, with a deep knowledge of Fintech and eCommerce, holding previous roles as Group CFO at Moneytech and CFO at Plenti, whilst also spending almost 10 years in leadership roles at PayPal and eBay in Europe, the US and Australia. She will bring her global outlook and considerable experience in Payments, Technology, capital raising initiatives, and international leadership to the me&u Executive team. In addition to her skills in building global finance teams, as well as managing high growth and high volume enterprises, her knowledge in scaling up businesses will be instrumental to me&u as it embarks on this next stage of growth.

“It’s an exciting time for me&u who have achieved rapid growth and are now serving 70 per cent of Australia’s top pub groups, while launching in new overseas markets. I am excited about the opportunity we have to plan and execute our expansion into the US and UK,” said Housson.

In addition, Duncan brings excellent hospitality experience complimented by the unrivalled contacts developed during his time at leading US POS suppliers HungerRush, Chowly, Hilton Hotels, and Revolution foods. A strong commercial leader with experience in SaaS, start-ups, and fortune 1000 companies, Duncan will bring additional business development strategies, extensive knowledge of the US hospitality landscape, and local and business insights to help the me&u team evolve and dominate.

“The US Hospitality landscape is really different to Australia’s, and order and pay technology is an incredibly new category here. It’s an exciting challenge and I’m excited to bring my knowledge of the local landscape to both revolutionise venue operations and enhance customer experiences in America,” said Duncan.

Rounding out the new appointments, Seymour mostly recently served as Director of Channel Programs with HungerRush. There, he succeeded in developing and growing the channel program that was loved by some of the largest food distributors in the US market. His career began in point of sales, and when Austin POS was acquired by HungerRush Seymour was retained and onboarded as Director of Sales and leading in the creation, development, and growth of its channel program.

“To strengthen and build the hospitality industry, me&u is disrupting the way the venues are working, and this style of disruption will be a very good thing. I’m committed to leveraging my business development expertise and contacts to bring me&u to venues everywhere,” said Seymour.

With over 125 team members, thousands of partners, and 10 million customers tapping on with me&u globally to date, this experienced me&u team are committed to building a better future for hospitality and me&u is the brand to watch in this space.

About me&u

With a vision to be a global leader in the hospitality technology space, me&u is on a mission to help the global hospitality industry recover. The technology is not just a digital menu, but one that is intelligent and highly personalised to the ordering experience for both the customer and venue. me&u presents the best of both worlds - seamlessly enabling greater human connection, while ensuring efficiency for venues, greater client satisfaction and retail growth. The company that Premutico has created works with operators, not against them, to create a more profitable future for the industry through fair financials, transparency, and a hospitality-led founding team.
